You have an idea, an illusion or a project that you want to carry out and you discuss it with the people around you and with those who can help you to start it up. And in the face of your illusion, the misunderstanding of others rises, the distrust in your worth and the warning that your idea will be a complete failure. In this situation, many people give up on their dream and withdraw their illusions to the most private sphere without daring to go a step further. However, many others grow up in the face of this adversity and continue alone, fully trusting in their abilities.
When no one believes in you
- The truth is that it is very difficult to draw strength from yourself to carry out an idea in which only you believe. It takes great emotional strength and self-confidence to face the negative attitude of others. “You won’t get it”, “you’re not good enough for this”, “this project is not viable”, “it’s crazy”. And you remain optimistic.
- But you are not the only one who has put all his effort into achieving success by achieving something that really makes you happy. Perhaps it gives you strength to know that Walt Disney was fired from his job as a cartoonist for lack of imagination, or that Federico Moccia had to self-publish “Three Meters Above Heaven” because no publisher considered it an acceptable novel.
- And we cannot attribute the negativity of others to envy, jealousy for your initiative or a bad intention. They may simply want to protect you from failure, because keep in mind that the best ideas are often the ones that break conventional boundaries. And that scares.
Confide in yourself
- But if you are not exactly scared, but rather excited about your project, we have to ask you to go ahead with it, regardless of who it weighs. If you do not have the support of those who love you, you will have to motivate yourself, something that you can also do.
- And if you need resources that you don’t have to carry out your idea, continue to mature it with hope, because you will surely find a way to get those resources. If you have been able to generate an idea like yours, surely you are also capable of putting it into action.
- The most important thing is that, whatever they say, you remain confident in yourself, in your worth and in your abilities. Your idea is good from any point of view, since it is what keeps you active and excited. So don’t be swayed by all those dream stealers and go all the way.
